Guidebooks are available for most areas and the 'Escalades Autour de Bedeilhac' guide covering our area was new in 2008. Guidebooks can be purchased from the Tarascon and Vicdessos Tourist offices and the bigger sports shops. We stock the local guidebook and would be happy to post you a copy to whet the appetite!.

Walking

Four French language walking guides are available covering the the Vicdessos and Tarascon area. These can be purchased from the Tarascon Tourist Office or are available to borrow from the house.
A huge array of books cover the Pyrénées in general in both French and English language. Below are just a selection:

Cicerone publish a number of excellent guides by the author Kev Reynolds covering walking and climbing in the Pyrénées. Great for guide book fans or those planning further trips to the Pyrénées, without too much relevant to our area.
Pyrénées car tours and walks (sunflower books) has 2 car tours and 5 walks in our area.
Walkers maps (1:25000 scale) published by the 'Institute Geographique National' (IGN) can be purchased from a number of outlets in Tarascon, the maps covering our area are:2047ET, 2147ET, 2148OT, 2148ET

We have a number of books and leaflets available for guests to use and can provide itineraries for numerous walks setting out from the house.
